The Scholarship will be based on the desire, interest, and aptitude of the student to pursue and excel in an agriculture or animal-related field.

To be eligible, the student must demonstrate an interest in an agricultural/animal field by having or have had a membership in FFA, 4-H, Rodeo, Horse Club or related agricultural organization.

The scholarship will be distributed after the student has successfully completed their first semester and provides proof of enrollment for the second semester. The student must also submit proof of a passing GPA and courses in agriculture, within 60 days following the completion of the semester.

The scholarships will be presented at the Van Der Geest Dairy Landowner and Neighborhood Appreciation Day in August 2027. You will be contacted as to the specific date and time of the presentation. If you are chosen, we ask that you be present to receive the scholarship.

Seniors graduating from High schools in the following communities are eligible: 

Merrill, Wausau area, Edgar, Athens, Marathon and Mosinee.
